Corporate Communications Specialist IV (R17-317)As part of the employee communications team, this position works to build trust with PGE’s employees through communications and experiences. This position supports the IT organization while working with the larger Corporate Communications team responsible for ensuring communications and engaging experiences consistently enhance PGE’s reputation and satisfaction with employees, through honest and forthright communications, events and activities for managers and employees. You will support our journey by: Communications: 85% Collaborate with internal clients in IT to develop communication strategies to further business objectives. Incorporate industry best practices. Oversee specific topic areas (IT/technology) and serve specific PGE internal clients while integrating with other members of the PGE Corporate Communications team to ensure messaging and content is leveraged and within brand voice and visual guidelines Develop, design and write communications (e.g. communication plans, stories, scripts, memos, articles, fliers, presentations, brochures) related to IT and technology topics that are compelling, accurate, clear, in line with our brand voice, compliant with all laws and regulations, and delivered on time Develop strategic messaging, working with key internal stakeholders. Develop and execute effective and timely communications plans: tactics may include news articles, digital/web content, internal outreach strategies, presentations, video scripts, collateral, and talking points to ensure PGE’s voice and messaging are pulled through. Proactively present new communication strategies or methodologies to clients to meet business objectives. Solicit and respond to client feedback. Initiate / facilitate group meetings for purposes of information sharing, problem resolution, continuity and calibration. Team Contributions: 15% Participate in developing crisis management strategies and processes. Actively participate in communications efforts around storm restoration during and after business hours. Collaborate with other Corporate Communication staff to optimize efficiency and ensure consistent messaging across channels. Actively participate in weekly calibration meetings. Maintain shared calendars, project tracking documents, department share point site etc. Contribute to the development of creative communications strategies and practices by keeping abreast of latest industry standards, best practices, tools and technologies. Other duties as assigned. You will bring the following skills to our team: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, writing, marketing or similar field plus a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience delivering on corporate communication strategies, providing communications consultation in a corporate setting – preferably in employee communications and/or technology communications– and executing communication plans and events.
